Active Travel Fund Telford and Wrekin

As part of the Government’s £2bn investment in active travel, Shropshire Council has received £259,500 and Telford and Wrekin Council has received £229,500 to boost walking and cycling.

The money can be used to fund measures such as School Streets, Low Traffic Neighbourhoods and segregated cycle lanes.

Councils will need to consult local communities about how they plan to spend the money, and must consider the impact on other road users.
