Mark Pritchard MP Carers UK

Today in Parliament I was delighted to attend a Carers UK event to discuss the challenges faced by unpaid carers - including energy costs.

I recognise the vital care provided by unpaid carers to family members.

Carers can receive support through the Carer Element in Universal Credit and Carer's Allowance has been increased in line with recent higher levels of inflation.

I am pleased that the Government has allocated £291.7 million this year to provide short breaks and respite services to unpaid carers.
