Today in Parliament, Mark met representatives of Alzheimer's Research UK to discuss their vision for dementia research.
Later this year, the charity will publish a blueprint for the future of research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of dementia in the UK.
The government should deliver on its commitment to publish a Modern Service Framework for frailty and dementia during 2026.
This will set standards for care and identify the best types of support which health professionals should provide. Mark expressed his hope that the insights of people with dementia will be reflected in the development of the framework.
