Today I visited The RAF Museum Midlands (which I still still call the Cosford Museum) to hear about the £30 million plans to build two new hangars to expand the museum's education work and to show more of its outstanding collection of aircraft and models.
The museum has a great team of staff and local volunteers. I am always so impressed with the knowledge of the staff and their commitment to preserving our military history - and especially the history of the huge contribution the Royal Air Force has made to the defence of our country.
The museum is a fantastic national cultural asset.
