The Government will increase Telford & Wrekin Council's budget by £4.5 million (3.2%) and Shropshire Council's budget by £11.8m (4.6%) next year as part of efforts to support local communities as we recover from the Covid outbreak.

Funding for key public services will be protected, with significant extra resources dedicated to areas where they are needed most.

Social care will receive a £1bn funding increase next year and an extra £670 million will be made available to help families facing hardship with their council tax bills.
