I was pleased to show my support for improving the lives of people with sight loss at an event in Parliament held by the charity Guide Dogs UK.
The event celebrated measures introduced this year which will see most buses fitted with audio-visual announcements, railway ticket offices kept open, and extra government funding for tactile paving at railway stations.
All of these measures will enable people with sight loss to get out and about safely and with confidence.
